Sparkling wine. One of only three sparkling wines produced by King Estate, the 2008 King Estate Blanc de Gris was crafted using the traditional method Champenoise. Made with 100% fruit from our Estate vineyard, this Domaine wine was first fermented to dryness. Then the liqueur de tirage was added and fermented in bottle, and the wine was sur lie aged for 26 months prior to riddling and disgorging. Finished with a liquor d’expedition to balance the palate, the Blanc de Gris is a brut style. The 2008 vintage was heralded by Wine Spectator as the Vintage of the Decade. This sparkling wine is truly enjoyable now and will age for years to come. Flavors of apple and vanilla stand out in this wine with crisp acid, tiny bubbles, and a round finish.
