The 2007 growing season featured typical hot summer temperatures with a few heat spikes followed by a relatively cool September and October. The cool Fall allowed extended hang time that maximized fruit flavors yet yielded moderate alcohol levels. Lower sugar and higher acidity at harvest resulted in classic, full bodied, balanced wines across the board.

Appearance: Inky deep purple
Aroma: Leather, anise, pepper, milk chocolate, and black tea
Flavor: Cola, gooseberry, and bacon
Mouthfeel: Rich texture, large grainy tannin, age worthy
